Lake Faak at the foot of the Mittagskogel

Lake Faak in the south of Villach is the fifth largest lake in Carinthia with an area of 220 hectares and a depth of around 30 metres. Thanks to its blue-green, almost turquoise water and crystal-clear depths, it is one of the most popular swimming lakes in the Alps-Adriatic region. An island divides the lake into two basins, the shores to the east and west are protected landscape areas, but the majority of the lake shore has been developed and belongs to bathers and water sports enthusiasts.

Your holiday home directly on Lake Faak

The village of SEELEITN is located directly on the shores of Lake Faak and is the ideal starting point for your summer holiday in and around the water. Many guests love to go for a morning swim in the lake, often in combination with one of the regular yoga classes on the bathing path. A small outdoor pool is ideal for children and first attempts at swimming. And every Thursday you can wind down at the end of the day in our Sunset Lounge.

Cycle around Lake Faak or explore the surrounding area on one of the idyllic walking and hiking trails. Try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, SUP or windsailing. Lake Faak is motorboat-free and guarantees unadulterated holiday fun with our water sports partners directly on site.

Swimming fun with direct access to the lake

Of course, you can also simply soak up the sun on your summer holiday by the lake. A private bathing jetty allows direct access to the lake, and we also provide sun loungers and parasols on our sunbathing lawn free of charge.
